Summer at The Grove Hotel

 

 
 

The Grove is a five-star hotel nestled in a picturesque 300 acres. It is home to a luxurious spa, four restaurants and a championship golf course, and luckily for us, is only a short drive away!

This summer, they have an incredible range of things on offer for everyone. From hot air balloon rides, outdoor movie nights in their walled garden, spa escapes, a huge array of dining options including one of the world’s finest buffets, and much more. So get ready for unforgettable summer experiences. We have compiled a list below of some of the things available at The Grove this summer.

Make it a summer to remember! Pack your bags and head for the countryside, where The Grove’s shimmering outdoor pool, Everyman cinema and oh-so comfy beds are ready to welcome you.  As well as all the usual activities – bike rides, archery lessons, swimming, and spa treatments – their Walled Garden will be open, bringing a taste of the Great British seaside to The Grove.

Feast On Cloud 9
This summer, take your taste buds to new heights. In partnership with Feast on Cloud 9, discover an immersive dining experience quite unlike any other. Grounded within The Grove’s formal gardens, bespoke hot air balloons will be the setting for an unforgettable nine-course tasting menu or afternoon tea. Info here.

Madhu’s At The Grove
New Delhi meets The Grove at Madhu’s who are famous for their Indian banquets. Packed with aromatic spices, the renowned banqueting specialists serve unforgettable feasts in a stunning setting. Info here.

The Glasshouse
Enjoy one of the world’s finest buffets. Move between different food stations – and countries – as their chefs prepare your meal right in front of you. What sounds better than that? Info here.

The Stables
A modern take on Great British Classics, made with seasonal British produce and ingredients grown not far from your table. There à la carte restaurant comes complete with a spacious outdoor terrace, overlooking the golf course. Their hearty menu serves Great British Classics redefined, with ingredients picked from Jemima’s Kitchen Garden. Info here.

The Lounges
Promising a relaxed yet intimate atmosphere, take a seat in the Lounges for coffee, light bites or an expertly crafted selection of Asian-inspired dishes designed to delight the eye and palette. Soups, sandwiches and salads are available between 12pm – 9pm and sushi is available from 5.30pm – 9pm. Info here.

Skewd
The Grove have collaborated with award winning Turkish restaurant SKEWD to bring authentic Anatolian cuisine with a twist, to the Potting Shed until 22nd September 2024. Info here.

Sequoia Spa
If you’re going to take time out, do it properly. At Sequoia Spa, you’ll find a statement pool like no other, tiled in black mosaics. Step into a Jacuzzi the size of a small pool itself, then book a massage or facial in one of their 18 treatment rooms. This is the ultimate place to relax, rejuvenate and recharge. Golf At The Grove
The Grove is home to one of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses and has recently been placed as the number 1 Golf Resort in England and 71st globally in Top 100 World Resorts by the Golf World Rankings. Their award-winning course, has welcomed many greats of the game, including Tiger Woods who won the World Golf Championship here in 2006. Info here.

Everyman Cinema
The Grove are thrilled to announce the return of Everyman In The Garden in partnership with Discovery. From 18 July – 8 September, pull up a beanbag, grab a set of headphones and settle in front of the big screen. From musical classics and the latest Hollywood blockbusters, to feel-good family favourites, they’ve created an exciting schedule to entertain film fanatics of all ages. Hotel residents can enjoy access to family-friendly matinee or an evening screening during their stay. For guests who are not staying at the hotel, you can take advantage of their special dinner and cinema package here.

Hot Air Balloon Rides
As part of their Summer of Discovery, in partnership with luxury automotive brand, Discovery, join The Grove for an unforgettable sunrise or sunset adventure as you take to the sky over Hertfordshire in your very own hot-air balloon, led by Magic Balloon Experience. Info here.

Fuego In The Woods
Dine in the enchanting setting of The Grove’s woodlands and savour the taste of Spain, in partnership with Discovery. Begin your evening with cava and canapés, followed by a family-style Spanish feast cooked over wood-fired parrillas. Enjoy live music and free-flowing drinks throughout the evening. Info here.

Anouska’s Kids Club
Nestled behind the Walled Garden is The Grove’s OFSTED-registered kids’ club – a hub of adventure and entertainment for children aged 2-9. It’s the perfect option for parents who would like to slip off for a few hours to themselves. From arts and crafts and interactive games, to story times, role playing and Lego building, fun and learning is endless. As well as a secure, private garden and play park, we also have a full-spec kitchen on-site where our team prepare fresh, healthy snacks for hungry tummies. Info here.

Mud & Guts’ Bush Craft Camps
The Mud & Guts team will be hosting their Bush Craft and Survival Camps in Asher’s Woodland Trails. Think den building, fire lighting, game playing as kids are immersed in the nature for a real adventure. Info here.

Forest Camps
Perfect for little explorers, their immersive forest camps promise plenty of fun and education-based play. Available Saturday’s from 26 July – 2 September between 2 and 4pm. Info here.

Woodland Hawking
Join Grant from Woodland Hawking and get up close and personal with spectacular birds of prey. Meet the Birds of Prey and Falconry Displays are available on selected dates during the school holidays. Private hawking walks are available daily for residents and non-residents alike. Info here.

Discovery Woodland Pursuits
In partnership with Discovery, The Grove are delighted to bring you an adrenaline-fuelled day full of outdoor adventure ahead of your visit to the Everyman In The Garden cinema. Discover the thrills of archery, tree climbing, and axe throwing, all within their enchanting woodland. These activities offer the perfect chance to connect with nature and have fun with family. Saracens Rugby Skills Staycation
Back by popular demand is our immersive kids’ rugby camp in partnership with the UK’s greatest rugby club, Saracens. Enjoy a range of games and fun skill-building workshops over three days, all led by an experienced team of coaches plus star rugby players.
