We Are Community was created shortly after lockdown began in 2020 by Harpenden locals Katie and Sabine as a lifeline to help connect local people to local businesses and be the place to come for everything local.

Why

Small and local businesses really are the beating heart of any community. During Covid-19, many have sadly been forced to close their doors, and some may never reopen. Inventing and growing businesses despite uncertainty shows how they are defined by their spirit. They are innovators and the fabric of our society, and we need them. But they also need you, and will only thrive if locals make full use of them and support them. Every single customer matters when you are small and the benefits of shopping small and local extend beyond times of crisis.
