Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Welcome to our website. If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use (‘these Terms’) which, together with our Privacy Policy, govern We Are Community Group Ltd’s relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website. The term ‘We Are Community Group LTD or ‘us’ or ‘we’ or ‘our’ refers to the owner of the website. Our company is registered in England under registration number 13003800.


Definitions

In this agreement the following terms shall have the following meanings:

“Account / Membership” - means collectively the personal/identifying information, payment information and credentials used by users to access parts of the website and to create listings;
“Content” - means any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations and any other form of information capable of being stored in a computer that appears on or forms part of this website;
“Listing” - means a membership directory listing or event listing posted on the website for which the user shall provide details of that user’s business information including, but not limited to, contact details;
“Listed Business” - means any business which features in the directory listing;
“Listing Fee” - means the fee payable to a listing;
“Service” - means collectively any online facilities, tools, services or information that we make available through the website either now or in the future;
“Website” - means the website that you are currently using and any sub-domains of this website unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions.


summary of our TErms

  • All new listings will be checked by an editor before it goes live on the website. This is so we can check that links are working, and proof-read content for any spelling and grammatical errors.

  • We aim to review listings we’ve received within 48 hours. If there are any problems with the listing we will contact you on the email address that you have provided.

  • We reserve the right to reject any listings that we do not deem appropriate for the website. 

  • It is your responsibility to send us any relevant updates should any information change. 

  • Your membership payment will be on a monthly or annual auto-renewal basis. If there is a payment failure, your listing will be removed or hidden until we receive payment from you.

  • You can cancel your monthly rolling contract with us at any time with one month’s notice. You must notify us in writing at hello@wearestalbans.co.uk. Your monthly membership remains until your next monthly payment would be due.

  • You can cancel your annual contact with us at any time with one month’s notice. You must notify us in writing at hello@wearestalbans.co.uk. You will not be entitled to a refund for the time remaining of your annual contract. We can however remove your listing if you wish to do so.


Listing on the website

When submitting a listing to the website, you should do so in accordance with the following rules:

  • You acknowledge that we, or any of the We Are Community editors shall approve or reject, edit or remove any listing submitted without prior consultation.

  • In cases of severe breaches, your listing may be removed and your account/membership may be suspended or terminated. You will be informed in writing of the reasons for any such alterations or removals.

  • In order to submit a listing, you are required to submit certain personal details and/or business details. By continuing to use this website you represent and warrant that any information you submit is accurate and truthful; and you will keep this information accurate by informing us of any changes. 

  • By submitting a listing, you warrant and represent that you are the author of that listing or that you have acquired all of the appropriate rights and/or permissions to submit it. We accept no responsibility or liability for any infringement of third-party rights by such listings or content.

  • We will not be liable in any way or under any circumstances for any loss or damage that you may incur as a result of such listings, nor for any errors or omissions in listings. Use of and reliance upon listings is entirely at your own risk.

  • Silver and Gold monthly social media posts can consist of one image. Stories can consist of an image or video.

  • Silver and Gold memberships require a minimum of three months payments before a blog feature can be published.


LISTING ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA

As a member of the We Are Community, you are entitled to a number of social media posts and/or stories a month dependent on your subscription package. You should do so in accordance with the following rules:

  • Only submit your content to us using the link provided in your monthly reminder email sent to all members via our newsletter.

  • We require text that is written in third person format.

  • We require images and videos of a high resolution for your post / story or reel.

  • At least 48 hours notice is required for your content to be posted out.

  • We have the right to withdraw any content that we feel is not suitable.

  • By submitting content, you warrant and represent that you are the author of that content or that you have acquired all of the appropriate rights and/or permissions to submit it. We accept no responsibility or liability for any infringement of third-party rights by such content.

  • We will not be liable in any way or under any circumstances for any loss or damage that you may incur as a result of such content, nor for any errors or omissions in the content. Use of and reliance upon the content is entirely at your own risk.


PRICES, PAYMENT, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Prices and payment options are available on our website. Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect listings/bookings already made. Payments made are non-refundable.

Once your listing is approved by us, you will receive a link to our payment page. Please note that payment will be taken monthly or annually (depending on the membership you join).

If you cancel your membership and want to rejoin at a later date, you will be charged the rate that’s currently on our website. You can cancel your monthly rolling contract with one months notice in writing to hello@wearestalbans.co.uk. Your monthly membership and listing will remain until the term of your last payment expires. You can cancel your annual contract with us at any time with one months notice in writing to hello@wearestalbans.co.uk. However, you will not be entitled to a refund for the time remaining. We can however remove your listing if you wish to do so.


Termination and/or suspension

We may suspend or terminate your membership immediately at our reasonable discretion, or if you breach any of your obligations under our Terms and you may not be entitled to any refund.


CONTENT

All information on our website submitted by businesses to us should be checked and verified with that business by the consumer before any purchases with that business are made. We take no responsibility for any transactions made with customers and our businesses listed or featured on our website. If a customer is dissatisfied with a particular business listed or featured in our content, they should email their complaint to hello@wearestalbans.co.uk where we may consider removing them from the website. We accept no other responsibility in the matter, or for the content of other websites that visitors to this website may click through to.


Film/Photography

All images and video submitted to us must have permission from the relevant owners of that media for use on the website which should be demonstrable if required. All businesses who submit such media are responsible for seeking that permission. We take no responsibility for imagery that are supplied without permission, and any fines would need to be paid immediately by the business in question. 

By becoming a member of We Are Community, clients inherently grant the organisation permission to showcase members in their photos and videos for use on social media, PR and any connected websites. Members must notify the organisation in writing to hello@wearestalbans.co.uk if they object to this usage. By attending our events where you may be featured in our video and photo imagery, you automatically give permission to us to use the footage on social media, PR and any connected websites. You must notifiy us in advance if you wish to not be featured.


REFUSAL OF ENTRY

We may refuse the right of entry if it is a/ thought that the ticket holder is not behaving in an appropriate manner on arrival or b/ is not behaving in an appropriate manner prior to arrival. No refunds of any proportion of your fees already paid will be refunded. If you are refused entry to the event, or have been previously ejected, you may not attempt to purchase another ticket or to otherwise gain entry without our permission.


Intellectual property

All content included on our website, including, but not limited to, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, data compilations, page layout and organisation and underlying code and software, is owned or licensed by us. Such content is protected by applicable United Kingdom and International intellectual property and other laws and all such rights are reserved.

You may access, download and print material from our website only if it is for your own personal, non-commercial use. Apart from this, none of the material from our website may be reproduced, copied, distributed, stored or re-used in any other way unless given express written permission to do so by us. Specifically, you agree that: you will not systematically copy content from the website with a view to creating or compiling any form of comprehensive collection, compilation, directory or database unless given express written permission to do so by us.


Recommendations and Comments

Users of our website may positively recommend one or more of the businesses listed or featured in the content on our website. No negative comments will be allowed. We reserve the right to remove any comment which we believe, in our sole discretion, is negative, dishonest, illegal, unfair, discriminatory or in some way may be prejudicial to the image or reputation of our website or the business to which the comment relates.


Newsletter

By registering for our newsletter, you are agreeing to receive the newsletter by email periodically. If you do not wish to receive the newsletter, then you may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.


Liability

We Are Community Group LTD, nor any personnel, will accept liability for any information featured on our website.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our website, please check this page to ensure you are familiar with the Terms that apply at that time.


Privacy

Use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy which sets out the terms on which we process personal data. By using our website, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.


Website use and availability

We accept no liability for any disruption or non-availability of the website resulting from external causes including, but not limited to, ISP equipment failure, host equipment failure, communications network failure, power failure, natural events, acts of war or legal restrictions and censorship. We reserve the right to alter, suspend or discontinue any part (or the whole of) the website. These Terms shall continue to apply to any modified version of the website unless it is expressly stated otherwise.

Any of the material on the website may be out of date and/or contain inaccuracies at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update such material. Due to the nature of the Internet, we offer no guarantees, warrantees or make any representation that this website will be error free.
