* Supper Club at The Plough*

On Wednesday 26th October 2022, The Plough in Sleapshyde will be hosting their first official Supper Club.

We were invited to their preview night recently which was a fabulous evening showcasing a sample of the absolutely incredible food that they will be serving in their 2 AA rosette winning restaurant.

Our meal consisted of:

Black treacle soda bread with beef fat butter
Baron Bigod cheese custard, sable, sherry vinegar truffle
Langoustine raviolo, Thai bisque, shallot
Striplion of beef, artichoke, cep
Almond milk pan cotta, crumble, goosberries
Malt tart, candied pecan, salted caramel

If you have yet to visit, The Plough is a 17th century pub which was taken over by new owners last year. It is beautifully tucked away in a quaint village providing the perfect setting for a country pub. It has a lot of character with large beams and historical details throughout perfect for a date night, or a special event with friends and family.

Their supper club features a five-course meal which will be taking place every last Wednesday of the month. Throughout the supper club evening, the Plough will be able to showcase the talents of the kitchen, outside of the format of their usual à la carte menu.

The theme for tomorrow night’s event is a Fish Supper club where they will be showcasing the freshest fish from their suppliers, all caught in British waters.

The November theme will be “meat” and will be a selection of top quality and unusual meats. This event will take place on the 30th of November.

Our personal favourite will be the January Supper club which will be Truffle themed. 5 courses of the best quality truffles you can find, need we say more?
