The Odyssey Cinema
The Odyssey situated in St. Albans, Hertfordshire is a beautiful and historic cinema with a history dating back to 1908. In 2010 the building was purchased after it had been derelict for 15 years. A local campaign helped raise money to restore the cinema back to its 1930's era design which was completed by November 2014.
The Odyssey is a single screen cinema consisting of 426 seats in total (216 in the balcony and 210 in the downstairs area) and two fully stocked bars. It shows a large variety of films each month ranging from new releases, foreign language films, cult rep screenings and classics.
Tickets
Tickets to watch screenings at the Odyssey can be booked online, over the phone and in person. Gift vouchers are available, and If you are a film lover you could also treat yourself to their annual membership.
Food & Drink
The Odyssey Cinema boasts two fully stocked bars. One is located in our foyer and one inside the screen at the back of the downstairs seating area. Food plates can be ordered from the bars during your visit. See their menu here.

They offer Step-Free Access from their Lower Paxton Road entrance – and they have an Induction Hearing Loop fitted to our speakers in the downstairs seating area.
